Had my first visit, not having seen a dentist in over ten years. Receptionist Rebecca, Hygenicist Jessica, and Dr Aparna (what she likes to be called given her last name is a little tough) were all terrific. I spent the most time with Jessica since my 69-year-old teeth needed serious cleaning (which will be spread over a second visit in two weeks). But first she helped me fill out the forms since the print was quite small on the sheet listing previous illnesses and medications. She had a good sense of humor and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I’ve never had a problem with dentists since I didn’t have any cavities until I was in my forties, but I was a little worried about this one since it had been so long, and I had a crown that had fallen out and gotten lost. Jessica also encouraged me to brush twice a day (instead of my habitual once with vigorous flossing) in a cheerful way that I actually found encouraging rather than annoying, so I might actually do it!It was all very pleasant and professional, and Dr Aparna thoroughly explained the procedure she’d need to use (taking an impression of my teeth) in order to plan what to do about the missing crown. And they scheduled taking the impression with getting my follow-up second cleaning and polishing in two weeks, to avoid an extra visit. Hope things go as smoothly next time.
